Alexandru Stoian is a 4th year medical student at the Faculty of Medicine, "Carol Davila" Bucharest. In the 2nd year of college (2010) he was selected to be part of the group that studies coma in rats. Since then he has managed to acquire laboratory techniques such as: anesthesia, intubation, intracranial electrode implantation, technique of 4-VO (four vessel occlusion).
Experiments have resulted in oral and poster presentations in scientific congresses with national and international profile (Congresis 2011, Medicalis 2012, SNN 2012 - National Society for Neuroscience, ASNER 2012 - Association of Electrodiagnostic Neurophysiology Society in Romania). He is an active member of SOMS (Scientific Organization of Medical Students).
Alexandru Stoian is trying to understand human pathology from a triple perspective: psychoanalytic, clinical and surgical. He believes in a personalized medicine, centered on human. Born in Constanta he prefers swimming and basketball or jogging. He is an honest person, sociable, open to new ideas and with sense of humor.
